It is now exactly one year since Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 2, and what better way to celebrate the anniversary than with a GIF.
‘The Gypsy King’ completed his return to the top of the mountain with a seven-round demolition of the previously unbeaten ‘Bronze Bomber’ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on February 22, 2020.
And to mark the anniversary on Monday, Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren released a GIF on Twitter to sum that epic night up in a few short seconds.

That night wasn’t just about the world heavyweight title for Fury though. It was also the completion of an incredible comeback from the depths of despair. Mental health issues and weight gain up to 400lbs meant few had expected Tyson to rule again.
Fury comeback
Since that night, Fury has not fought again as yet, with a planned trilogy showdown with Wilder last year scuppered by a variety of issues – notably the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘The Gypsy King’ though used lockdown to become a vocal ambassador on mental health issues, while he and his wife Paris drew huge audiences for their daily workouts on social media. Oh, and Tyson is now an award-winning author.
2021 promises to be the biggest year yet for the Furys. Tyson is preparing for an expected world heavyweight title unification showdown with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua. Meanwhile he and Paris are preparing to welcome their sixth child into the world.
Fury vs Joshua in June?
Fury vs Joshua is set to take place in June – likely in the Middle East. Contracts are currently being finalised and both men are expected to earn around $100million each.
Assuming all goes well they will then fight an immediate rematch – hopefully before the end of 2021.
We’re now exactly one year on from Fury vs Wilder 2, but what will the next 12 months bring? Whatever happens, with Tyson Fury it is sure to be one thing above all else. Box office.
