Gervonta Davis next fight CONFIRMED with Micah Parsons HYPED for superfight

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has a confirmed next fight and we have some other superstar athletes who are VERY EXCITED about it all.

Late Thursday we got the news that Gervonta (29-0 with 27 wins inside distance) will meet Frank Martin in his first fight since that epic knockout victory over the much-hyped Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas last April.

The fight – first revealed by ESPN insider Mike Coppinger – pits P4P talent Gervonta against a legitimate top-10 lightweight, and it is apparently slated to take place in late spring or early summer. It will also be a major PPV prize for the new boxing streaming product formed out of the Amazon Prime Video/PBC alliance.

The 29-year-old Martin boasts an 18-0 record with 12 coming inside distance, but this is a major step up for ‘The Ghost’ against one of the most feared knockout artists in the sport.

Micah Parsons on ‘Tank’ vs Martin

Reaction to news of the bout – which will be for Davis’ WBA world lightweight title – was swift and heavy, with none other than NFL superstar Micah Parsons being one of the first to react on social media.

The Dallas Cowboys All Pro linebacker of course is excited not least because Martin trains out of the famous Derrick James gym in the Metroplex.

He took to Twitter (or X, whatever you want to call it) with “Boxing fans!! We back!! This major asf!! Frank gotta put on for Dallas!”

Despite Micah’s hype, Martin is likely to start a very firm underdog, with Davis currently residing in the top 10 of most P4P lists.

Whatever happens, it’s the biggest news yet for that new Amazon Prime Video streaming product, and yet another massive date in what is an absolutely stacked 2024 calendar for the spot.
