From WBC to NFT: Tyson Fury branches out again

Trailblazing world heavyweight king Tyson Fury is expanding his business empire yet further by joining the global craze around NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens).

In recent months jaw-dropping sums of money have been exchanged for NFTs – most notably the artist Beeple selling a piece of digital artwork for a mind-blowing $69million. the Fury collection

According to Forbes the Fury collection will include playing cards and memorabilia, and will be a collaboration with artist Rollo and Fomo Labs.

It’s the latest move from Fury as he continually diversifies his life outside the ring. He has already written best-selling books and launched clothing lines.

Currently ‘The Gypsy King’ is preparing for the biggest fight of his career – a world title unification match against fellow Briton Anthony Joshua. It would likely crown the first undisputed world heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

The two men have signed contracts for a two-fight deal and a decision on a venue and date is expected imminently. Both men are expected to earn around $100million each for their first fight alone – more than a Beeple original!

Fury has also built up a huge fan base on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to his life inside and outside the ring. His comeback from severe mental health issues and ballooning to 400lbs to become heavyweight champion again is now the stuff of legends.

He has become a superb ambassador for mental health awareness, and his lockdown workouts on social media with wife Paris was also a real winner with fans.

2021 promises to be the biggest of Fury’s life so far. Not only is he hoping to face Joshua twice before the year is out, Paris is expecting their sixth child.
