Fury vs Joshua in UK in November? Warren sending offer TODAY!

Frank Warren says he will send a written offer for a Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight to AJ’s team TODAY.

The possibility of this eagerly-awaited all-British showdown finally happening when least expected surfaced on Monday when Fury offered to defend his WBC and lineal heavyweight titles next against his great domestic rival.

Joshua of course is beltless right now after losing for a second time to Oleksandr Usyk, while Usyk is not yet ready to face Fury in a unification showdown.

Frank Warren on Fury vs Joshua offer

Fury said in a video on social media that he would offer Joshua a shot at the title before looking to announce an alternative opponent, and now his promoter Warren says a written offer will be sent to AJ’s team today (Tuesday).

Speaking on talkSPORT, he told White and Jordan: “We’re sending a written offer across today to them. It’s us who have made the approach to give AJ a great opportunity to get himself back into the top level against the world champion Tyson.

“He’s willing to make that voluntary defence, so we’ll send the offer across today and then they’ll have to look at it and decide whether they wanna grab this with both hands.”

Fury and Joshua of course came very close to meeting in 2021, with a date booked for August in Saudi Arabia, before Deontay Wilder won an arbitration ruling to force his own third fight with Fury instead.

Joshua’s second defeat by Usyk in their rematch in Saudi Arabia in August was his third loss in his last fights, and left him on the outside looking in at the world title picture.

Now though Fury’s offer gives him an intriguing opportunity to resurrect his elite career literally overnight, as early as November per Warren.

Fury vs Joshua venue would be UK

If the news of a potential Fury vs Joshua showdown is not enough to get British fight fans excited, the potential venue will make things even better. It is likely to be in the UK and NOT the Middle East.

Asked when this fight would be, Warren said: “In the UK and hopefully in November, that’s what we’re looking at.”

Warren refused to discuss the terms he would be offering Team Joshua. Last year a 50-50 split was on the cards but obviously now circumstances are very different. Both were then world champions but now only Fury holds a belt.
