Eddie Hearn is convinced that Australia has a “future heavyweight champion” in the shape of Teremoana Teremoana, and now know all the details about his next fight.
The 28-year-old giant from Campbelltown has been absolutely perfect so far in the professional ranks, registering 12 knockout victories in 12 fights.
Now he will be out again in November when he again takes centre stage in Melbourne for a showdown with the dangerous Hemi Ahio. The bout goes down on Wednesday November 18 at Pullman Melbourne Albert Park.
The fight, which will air on Fox Sports and DAZN’s Kayo Sports in Australia, pits Teremoana against a man who is equally dangerous, Ahio has a 25-1 pro ledger with 19 wins inside distance.
New Zealander Ahio, a former WBC Middle East Heavyweight ruler, stands in the unbeaten Olympian’s way next as the pair prepare to headline another major Matchroom card Down Under.
‘Australia must get behind Teremoana – Hearn’
Hearn, ever the salesman, is very excited about Teremoana’s potential, explaining: “Australian boxing is flying and I am excited to be returning to Melbourne for what promises to be a brilliant fight card, headlined by the country’s most destructive fighter.
“We seriously have a superstar on our hands in Teremoana. He must close out this year with another big statement – but he’ll need to be at his best as Hemi Ahio is a very dangerous operator with plenty of experience.
“Teremoana truly has the potential to go very far in the Heavyweight division. I honestly believe he has the tools to become a future World Champion. He is a man Australia needs to get behind.”

The fighter himself is not expecting an easy night, and has no illusions about the task facing him.
“I am really looking forward to the challenge he will bring,” said Teremoana.”Nothing changes for me. I am here to prove I am the best and Ahio is the next obstacle in my way. I respect what he’s achieved but he shouldn’t have taken this fight.
“I’ve been training hard and with another five weeks of preparation until fight night I plan to show the difference in levels. God willing, I will be victorious.”
Ahio – nicknamed ’The Heat’ – has warned Teremoana that he is ready to crank up the temperature and unleash everything he has when the two collide.
“I’m in great shape, maybe in the best shape I have been my entire career. There’s going to be fireworks, and we will both be dropping big bombs. I’m ready to throw down with the big man. Let’s go!”
