Tyson Fury ‘doesn’t give a toss about Hearn’, names the one person he MUST please

Tyson Fury says he only needs to please one person in this world, and it definitely isn’t promoter Eddie Hearn.

Fury and Hearn have enjoyed an entertaining back and forth in recent years on social media and YouTube channels – unsurprisingly. Hearn is the promoter of Fury’s arch British rival Anthony Joshua.

In recent weeks things between Fury (promoted by Hearn’s great rival Frank Warren) and Eddie have appeared to be more cordial, but Fury cares little for his opinions on the world, or those of anybody else.

Tyson Fury on Eddie Hearn

He told The Stomping Ground: “I couldn’t give a toss what Eddie Hearn says, or anybody else really. If they say good things about me, very good stuff, I don’t care. So if they say bad things about me, I don’t care either.

“There’s nothing that you could say to me, that’s gonna make me upset. Nothing anyone could because I know who I am when I look in the mirror. I know what I’ve done, I know what I’ve achieved, I know I’ve made it in my life, I know I can do anything I want, go anywhere, whatever I want to do, I can do. So someone’s opinion doesn’t matter to me and that’s the difference in me and the rest of them.

“If you take other people’s opinions on board and take it as a personal thing, to me it’s strictly business – that’s all it will ever be. No-one could upset me by saying negative stuff. I’d be a dummy wouldn’t I if I was getting upset about someone being negative – ‘oh he’s a s*** boxer’.

“Well why I am I worth a ton of money and why have I won every belt in boxing and undefeated after all these years? You know what I mean. So I don’t think you take other people’s opinions on board, no matter if they’re good, bad or indifferent.”

Pleasing Paris

While Fury clearly is a man who puts the focus on what he needs to do in life, he does admit there is one very special person he DOES have to please. His wife Paris – the mother of their seven children.

“I think you do what you’ve got to do yourself and there’s only one person you’ve got to please in this world and that’s your wife. If you don’t have a wife you please yourself. But when you get a wife, you quickly learn you gotta please her. So the outside world to me, is what it is, isn’t it…
