The big boxing show in the UK tonight (Saturday April 19) goes down at the Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield, where local boy Dalton Smith vs Mathieu Germain tops the bill.
The 28-year-old Smith (17-0 with 13 wins inside distance) meets Canadian star Germain (26-2-1) with the WBC Silver super-lightweight title on the line.
That bout headlines a fascinating card, which also includes Leeds warrior Josh Warrington returning to action after that defeat by Anthony Cacace last year. He faces India’s Asad Asif Khan in a 10-round super-featherweight showdown.
Josh Padley faces off vs Serbian Marco Cvetanovic for the WBA International lightweight title, while Ryan Kelly vs Caoimhin Agyarko will be for the WBA Continental super-welterweight belt.
