After months of silence, Deontay Wilder finally spoke out on Saturday night, ripping into Tyson Fury on social media.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ has been strangely quiet since losing his unbeaten record to Fury in their rematch in Las Vegas in February.
Even when their trilogy fight was cancelled early this month, he said absolutely nothing. His camp meanwhile made various excuses for their man’s February defeat. Including a bicep injury, the weight of Wilder’s elaborate ring walk costume and saying Fury had illegal gloves. There is zero evidence to suggest Fury has done anything wrong.
But now all that has changed, with the man from Alabama demanding that ‘The Gypsy King’ goes through with their trilogy fight.
At the moment Fury is planning a UK homecoming instead on Saturday December 5. That Royal Albert Hall plan left Wilder extremely unimpressed.
He said on Twitter: “@Tyson_Fury it is time for you to be a man and honor your agreement. What is this bullshit of you fighting Carlos Takam instead of me, you got to be kidding…

“When you were going through your darkest time, I told you that if you got yourself together I would give you a title shot. Being a man of my word, I gave you the title shot…
Wilder unloads over Fury trilogy clash
“When that fight was a draw, I told you that I would give you a rematch. You know I was offered more money to fight Joshua than I was getting to fight you. Again being a man of my word, I fought you like I said I would…
“In the rematch agreement, there was a rematch clause. Now it is time for you to be a man and honor your word, instead of trying to weasel out of our agreement. Scared people run but a scary man will break his contract you coward Azz B**čh!”
The first meeting between Fury and Wilder ended in a controversial draw in Los Angeles in December 2018. It had been hoped their trilogy fight would take place in Las Vegas in December. Now it appears it may never happen at all.
