Hearn vs Warren: Latest details REVEALED which Eddie says ‘will blow your mind’

Boxing is delivering some terrific fights in 2024, but there are few showdowns which have created as much hype as Eddie Hearn vs Frank Warren.

While the two rival promoters won’t of course get in the ring on June 1, they will send their respective stables into action in a 5 vs 5 card which has the sport talking.

That Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol light-heavyweight blockbuster will top the bill in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – but outside of that the night will all be about Hearn vs Warren.

While the pair – who have traded verbal haymakers back and forth through the media in recent years – are now happily working together, neither wants to lose this one. And as we get closer to fight night, more details of how it will all work are starting to trickle out.

Hearn provides 5 on 5 update

Hearn himself has provided an update this week, explaining: “Well the filming has been done, and it will be down to His Excellency when that is released. It will be imminent.

“At the moment we’ve confirmed the weight classes, which you will see drop very shortly. And then there will be a press conference in the beginning of April in London, where the fighters will be revealed.

“The fighters, Matchroom, Queensberry, His Excellency, won’t know who they’re facing, who the lineup is, until the press conference on the day.

“There will be some very interesting reveals done, the idea of His Excellency, it’s gonna blow your mind. The promo is being shot with Frank and myself in London very soon, it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”

Hearn vs Warren 2?

His Excellency of course is Turki Alalshiksh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. This Hearn vs Warren card is his brainchild – and Hearn says a rematch is ALREADY in the works before the first card has even taken place.

Hearn revealed: “He [Turki Alalshikh] talked about doing a second version of this event in September in London which would be incredible. And this format is really gonna be compelling, I think it’s gonna really engage with fight fans.

“Obviously the rivalry is there, I’m desperate to win, Frank’s desperate to win and there’s gonna be some massive fights for our stable of fighters.”
