Oleksandr Usyk is fast developing cult figure status in the UK, and he did it again during a Q and A session with fans on Twitter on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian maestro took over the Matchroom Boxing account ahead of Saturday’s huge showdown with Dereck Chisora at London’s SSE Arena, Wembley.
And when one fan asked him if he would return to cruiserweight after losing to ‘Del Boy’, Usyk (17-0) shot back a predictably hilarious response to KO the fan in stunning style.
He said, quite simply: “If an old lady would have balls, she would be an old man!”

That moment may well have been the highlight of a lively session with Usyk shooting back answers to fans just like he does jabs inside the ring.
Other interesting titbits included the slick southpaw re-iterating that he won’t be giving up his position as the WBO’s mandatory challenger at heavyweight.
When asked if he might step aside to allow Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, he said: “It is what it is. I am mandatory and that’s it.”
Usyk vs Chisora will be screened live on pay-per-view in the UK by Sky Sports Box Office (price £19.95). DAZN meanwhile will stream the bout in the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Austria and Switzerland.
Should Usyk come out victorious he will be in line for an immediate shot at the WBO heavyweight title, currently held by Joshua.
AJ of course must overcome Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday December 12.
Fury and Joshua have agreed in principle the financial structure for a two-fight deal. AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes the first bout could take place in April. The rematch would then take place later in 2021. Usyk may well yet have something to say about that.
