Eubank Jr vs Benn date, start time, ring walks and how to watch live tonight

It’s been a long time coming – a really long time – but Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn will finally happen tonight in north London (Saturday April 26).

Some 32 years after their fathers Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn met for a second epic time at Manchester United’s Old Trafford football stadium, these two famous sons will get it on in London in front of an excited global TV audience.

It’s been a long and winding road to get here – with quite a few bumps – but finally the waiting is almost over with Benn back in action after having his suspension lifted by the U.K. National Anti-Doping Panel (NAPD) following his positive test for a banned substance before his cancelled fight with Eubank Jr. in October 2022. He was later cleared of any wrongdoing.

Remember we were just days out from their planned meeting back in 2022 when that bombshell ruined everything. Hopefully this time the fight will actually happen.

When is Eubank Jr vs Benn?

The bout is finally set to take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England on Saturday night (April 26, 2025). Ring walks for the main event are expected to take place shortly after 2200 local time – which is 2300 CET, 1700 Eastern Time in the US or 1400 PST on the West Coast.

Watch live on TV or stream

The bout will be streamed live and globally by DAZN, and it’s important to note that IT IS a PPV show (the price is £21.99 in the UK or $24.99 in the US). Fans in the UK can also pay to watch the action live on Sky Sports Box Office (again the price is £21.99).

Official Weights

This is a hot topic, and it got even hotter after Friday night’s weigh-in in London.

The limit for this one is middleweight – which is 160lbs (11st 6lbs). Two divisions higher than career welterweight Conor normally fights. And one weight lower than Eubank Jr would ideally like.

Benn, unsurprisingly, came in well under the limit at 156.4lbs, but Chris Jr MISSED weight as he scaled 160.05lbs.

That error by Eubank Jr will apparently cost him £375,000 in fines, but the drama does not end there.

Both men will need to weigh in again on Saturday with a rehydration clause in place stating neither must be over 170lbs on fight day. Again this is going to be tough for Eubank Jr.

What are the odds?

This is a very close fight if you believe the oddsmakers. Eubank is a slight favourite at 13/19 with Benn the 13/8 underdog. The Draw is currently a 22/1 shot. We have expert predictions for you – of course.

Chris Eubank Jr record

Eubank Jr, now 35 years of age and hailing from Hove in Sussex, boasts a 35-3 pro record with 25 of those wins coming inside distance. He has only ever lost to top domestic opposition in the shape of Billy Joe Saunders, George Groves and Liam Smith. He did of course avenge that loss to Smith immediately with a fourth-round stoppage victory in Manchester in 2023.

Eubank Jr of course will have a notable size advantage over Benn – he stands 5ft 11ins (1.80m) tall and has a reach of 72.5 ins (1.84m).

Conor Benn record

The 28-year-old Benn has a perfect 23-0 professional record with 14 of those victories coming by way of knockout. The man from Ilford, Essex has yet to face truly elite opposition in their prime – the biggest name on his resume is probably former WBO light-welterweight king Chris Algieri. Conor stopped the veteran Algieri inside four rounds in 2021.

Chris Eubank vs Nigel Benn

Chris Jr and Conor of course are the fighting sons of two incredible fighters – a pair who had perhaps the biggest domestic rivalry in the last 40 years. They met twice inside the ring, and both were incredible scraps.

The first meeting took place in Birmingham on November 18, 1990 and the blood was bad long before they made it into the ring. Their personalities were perfect to ignite a spark in the British boxing public and interest was off the charts.

The bout was screened live by national broadcaster ITV on a Sunday evening in the UK, and it was a beauty. Eubank won it via a ninth-round stoppage but he had to withstand some furious Benn assaults to get that W.

It was almost four years until the pair met again – this time at Manchester United’s Old Trafford football stadium. It was packed with 42,000 fans and the fight took place in the middle of the night UK time to accommodate US TV coverage.

Again it was a fascinating fight, this time not quite with the fireworks of the first meeting. It ended in a controversial draw with the scorecards 115–113 Eubank, 114–113 Benn, and 114–114.

Eubank and Benn never met for a third time – despite rumours of a massive showdown at Wembley Stadium after Chris signed a massive long-term deal with Sky Sports. Their rivalry though was one for the ages, and now their sons will rekindle that fire more than three decades on.

Who is fighting on the undercard?

As you’d expect for a stellar show like this, we have a pretty stacked undercard to match, featuring:

We’ll post more details here as we get them in the countdown to fight night on April 26.
