Fury vs Usyk: MASSIVE boost for UK boxing fans as superfight will air live on THREE platforms

Wow, what a boost for boxing fans in the UK with the news that Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk superfight will air on Sky Sports, TNT Sports AND DAZN on February 17.

Fury (34-0-1) and Usyk (21-0) will lock horns in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with every single one of the heavyweight title belts on the line. With the winner to be crowned boxing’s first undisputed world heavyweight champion since Britain’s Lennox Lewis back in 1999.

Fury will put his WBC and lineal titles on the line while Usyk’s IBF, WBA, WBO and Ring magazine straps will also be up for grabs in what should be a mouthwatering showdown for the ages.

Fury vs Usyk on UK TV

We found out on Wednesday that global streaming platform DAZN would have rights to show the bout globally – including in the UK and United States. People who sign up for the Fury vs Usyk PPV (pricing to be confirmed) will also get a free month’s subscription to the platform.

On Thursday the news got even better for domestic fight fans, with the news that Sky Sports Box Office and TNT Sports Box Office (formerly BT Sport) will also carry the bout in the UK.

In the United States it is confirmed that ESPN will have PPV rights along with DAZN, meaning that many of the broadcast details for this heavyweight megafight are now set.

The excitement is now really building towards that February 17 fight night, with an incredible trailer to promote the event released in the last 24 hours. That had Fury and Usyk appearing as cowboys, gladiators, pirates AND anime characters.

Fury vs Usyk is the latest huge event brought to you as part of Riyadh Season, courtesy of huge investment in elite boxing from Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. Chairman Turki Alalshikh has rival promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren now working together on enormous shows.

Last October Fury scraped past former UFC heavyweight king Francis Ngannou in their huge crossover fight, and Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder then featured on that blockbusting ‘Day of Reckoning’ card just before Christmas.

Next we get Fury vs Usyk for all the heavyweight marbles, followed by Joshua vs Ngannou on March 8. Then Turki Alalshikh wants the winner of those two fights to meet – which could potentially mean Fury vs Joshua at long last.
