The countdown to Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul starts here fight fans, with the first press conference set for their blockbusting Miami megafight on Friday December 19.

Two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua (28-4) will lock horns with 12-1 Youtuber Jake in a fight that is likely to draw tens of millions of viewers to streaming platform Netflix.

It’s a heavyweight showdown which has the purists wailing and the casuals smacking their chops – and we have less than one month to fight night.

On Friday (November 21) in Miami, the two fighters will meet face to face for the first time, at the opening press conference to officially announce their match.

The pair, who are expected to earn north of £50million each for one night’s work, will face the world’s media and the glare of publicity will never shine brighter.

That kickoff press conference takes place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday (November 21) with the start time set for 6pm in the UK. That is 1pm on the East Coast of the US and 10am Pacific on the West Coast.

What are the rules for Joshua vs Jake?

Good question, and the first thing to say is that this is an official sanctioned boxing match – no exhibitions.

The fight is scheduled for 8 x 3-minute rounds, and both men will wear 10oz gloves.

There is a clause in the contract regarding Joshua’s weight – he cannot be more than 245lbs (17st 7lbs) when the two men weigh in for the fight on Thursday December 18 in Miami.

It is three years since Joshua weighed 245lbs or less – you have to go back to his rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in 2022.
