On Saturday night in Riyadh, Filip Hrgovic vs David Adeleye provides an intriguing heavyweight matchup on the Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte undercard.
With the peerless Oleksandr Usyk now 38 years old and alluding he won’t be around much longer; the heavyweight division is due for a sea change – and both men will want to be in the mix if and when the belts become fragmented.

An ambitious and ballsy British champion, Adeleye is 14-1 (13) and seems unfazed by the task ahead. “He’s a human being and he’s nothing special,” he said of Hrgovic in fight week.
Big-fight analysis
Hrgovic was last seen outpointing Joe Joyce in April – he didn’t look great in that one but in his defence he didn’t have a full camp either after coming in as a late replacement for an injured Whyte to save the show.
Adeleye was getting outboxed by Jeamie Tshikeva last time out on the same card, until he uncorked a controversial finish in the sixth, punching and dropping TVK as the ref separated them.
This fight could be about levels. Ultimately, we think Adeleye is too easy to hit, and someone of Hrgovic’s skill with a full camp behind him should be able to get the job done. Hrgovic to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification looks the most logical call.

Hrgovic vs Adeleye prediction
Hrgovic to win by KO, TKO or DQ at 11/8 (betway)
