Moses Itauma continues his fistic journey in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night as he faces Dillian Whyte in a fascinating 12-rounder.
Ring magazine’s 2024 Prospect Of The Year has been quite incredible so far as a pro – blasting out all-comers en route to this step up in class against a man who once challenged Tyson Fury for the WBC world heavyweight title.
Whyte is 31-3 (21) and was once good enough to claim a unanimous points win over Joseph Parker. However he is 37 years old now, he has looked off the pace in his last couple of fights and Itauma looks all wrong for him.
Itauma has the advantages
Itauma is 12-0 (10) meanwhile is very much on the rise and has barely put a foot wrong as a pro so far. He has arguably the fastest hands in the heavyweight division and Whyte would be a good name on his record.
‘The Body Snatcher’ has lost weight for this and visually does not look like a man just coming for a payday. We think he’s relishing being a huge underdog (as big as 7/1 in places) but also that all the physical advantages are with Itauma.
Whyte has a dangerous left hook but often leaves himself wide open when he throws the right. Against a slick counterpuncher like Itauma that could prove disastrous and an early blast out would not be a shock. Under 4.5 rounds is odds against and could be the way to bet.

Itauma vs Whyte prediction
Itauma vs Whyte to go Under 4.5 rounds at 6/5 (Coral/Ladbrokes).
