The build-up to all world heavyweight title fights are full of big opinions, and promoter Frank Warren just provided another one.

More than 96,000 fans – a record boxing crowd at the iconic venue – will assemble for what should be an explosive encounter between two big men who can truly bang. But which one bangs harder?

Warren voiced his opinion on that big topic at the final press conference on Thursday, and like many, he expects an early night.

Warren on Joshua vs Dubois

He explained: “We are going to see something special. For me, there’s nothing better than two Brits in a competitive fight.

“I believe Daniel will show what he is about. I’ve believed in him from day one. He’s come through trials and tribulations and is going to keep that belt. He will prove he is the IBF champion.

“We’ve got a new kid on the block. This kid can fight, he can punch. He’s got mobility, he’s fast and he’s a good finisher. Dubois is a bigger puncher than AJ and one thing is for sure – don’t blink in this fight.”

Quite the call then, we’ve seen the damage Dubois can do with that brutal right hand. But also very fresh in the memory is AJ detonating that massive right hand to KO Ngannou inside two rounds back in March.

Britain’s Hagler vs Hearns?

Warren is truly excited about Saturday night’s matchup, and he had a message for fans, some of whom might be considering whether to buy the PPV on TNT Sports Box Office, Sky Sports Box Office or DAZN PPV.

“I believe this Heavyweight fight will be Britain’s Hagler-Hearns – that’s how exciting it’s going to be.”
