Ben Davison gives telling one-word response after feeling BRUTAL Moses Itauma power

Moses Itauma is already being talked about as the next big thing in heavyweight boxing – and it’s easy to see why.

The 19-year-old sensation from Kent (8-0 in the paid ranks) has already sparred some of the division’s biggest names. With even the likes of WBC and lineal king Tyson Fury talking about his talents in reverential tones.

Itauma’s Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren believes he is the likely successor to Fury at the top of the fight game’s marquee weight class – describing him as the next big thing.

Moses will have his next bout on Saturday week on the undercard of the Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk unification battle (live on DAZN, Sky Sports and TNT Sports). All of the heavyweight titles will be on the line – belts he one day hopes to fight for.

Itauma has been preparing in the gym for his showdown vs German Ilja Mezencev (25-3) with none other than Ben Davison – the trainer of the moment. Davison of course prepared Fury for his comeback from that long hiatus from the sport, including that first meeting with Deontay Wilder in 2018.

Ben Davison feels Itauma power

Now Davison is en vogue for being the man who has helped Anthony Joshua get right back to his devastating best with those recent demolition jobs on Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou.

This week Davison shared footage of him preparing Itauma for his next test, and taking thudding shots from Itauma to the midriff while wearing a body protector. The caption on his video read simply “Back to Saudi”.

Boxing pundit and commentor Chris Lloyd was quick to respond, telling Davison “Those lefts downstairs are moving you.”

The response from Davison was short, brutal and telling. He said, quite simply: “Sickening”

Itauma’s 9th pro fight on Saturday week will also herald the first time he’s fought for a professional title, with the WBO Intercontinental heavyweight title on the line. If Warren, Fury and co are right, it should be the first of many.
