Fabio Wardley is closing in on a world title shot but Aussie star Justis Huni is determined to ruin that grand plan at Portman Road tonight (Saturday June 7, live on DAZN).
Wardley (18-0-1) has risen from the humble beginnings of Britain’s white-collar boxing scene to become one of the country’s top heavyweights, and promoter Frank Warren believes he could be fighting for a world title in the next 12 months.

Weights
The weigh-in for the big fight took place on Friday lunchtime at the Grand Hall, Corn Exchange in Ipswich.
Wardley came in at 243lbs (17st 5lbs) a couple of pounds heavier than he had been for that demolition job on Frazer Clarke in his last outing.
Huni meanwhile tipped the scales at 248lbs (17st 10lbs), which is seven pounds heavier than for his second-round stoppage of Shaun Potgieter in January. It’s also a career high for the Aussie star.
Latest odds
Fabio is a firm favourite as we head into fight week – trading at odds of 2/7. Huni is a live 11/4 underdog – this is no foregone conclusion. The Draw is priced in at 16/1.
Fabio Wardley record
The 30-year-old Wardley, born in Ipswich, has a professional record of 18-0-1, with the only slight blemish being that Draw vs Frazer Clarke in their British and Commonwealth heavyweight title showdown in London in March 2024. Wardley made no mistake in their Riyadh rematch last October by blasting out Clarke inside a round.
Wardley, who came from nowhere out of the white-collar boxing scene, is a ferocious puncher and 17 of his 18 professional victories have come by way of knockout. The 6ft 5ins (1.96m) banger also has victories inside the distance over the likes of David Adeleye, Nathan Gorman and Eric Molina.

Fabio is now promoted by Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, having been previously with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom. That subplot adds further spice to what should be a terrific occasion. Huni by the way is now promoted by Hearn and Matchroom.
Justis Huni record
The 26-year-old Huni, who fights out of Brisbane in Australia, has a 12-0 pro record with 7 of those wins coming inside distance.
The 6ft 4ins (1.93m) Aussie’s best win is probably a unanimous decision over the durable Kevin Lerena in Riyadh last March.
Wardley vs Huni undercard
The undercard had been set to be topped by Wardley’s manager – former world heavyweight title challenger Dillian Whyte (31-3). But he is out with a ‘big big fight’ now likely in August instead.
