Heavyweight rankings: The definitive list from every sanctioning body with every fighter including Usyk, Dubois and Moses Itauma

Boxing’s heavyweight division is in the rudest of health as we move further into May 2025, and we have a definitive take on the current landscape in the fight game’s marquee weight class.

They call the title of world heavyweight champion the biggest prize in all of sports, and with fighters sometimes earning upwards of £50million for one fight, it certainly still delivers.

The title has been diluted somewhat in recent years by the fact there are about seven titles actually up for grabs in the heavyweight division alone, but we have you covered with the latest state of play. Here are the rankings from every key body in May 2025.

Who is the lineal champion?

The lineal world heavyweight champion is ‘the man who beat the man’. It is currently Oleksandr Usyk – he won the mythical title by beating Usyk in their first fight in May 2024, and retained it in the rematch.

Undisputed heavyweight champion

Until May 2024 we had not had an undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis way back in 1999. But then Usyk ascended the top of the mountain by beating Fury in that Riyadh thriller. He had earlier unified all of the titles at cruiserweight.

Usyk will get a shot at becoming undisputed for a third time when he faces Daniel Dubois for all of the world heavyweight titles at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday July 19.
